It is quite a tough job to take care of a newborn toddler. You have to be careful all the time and have to entertain the child to keep their mood happy and joyful. However, doing all this isn’t an easy task for a parent.
To make this work easy and effective, you already purchase a pack n play Napper I know! But there is a question always comes to your mind. Can a baby sleep in pack n play napper?
Is it safe?
Well, after a long survey we found that there is a controversy regarding this topic. According to some people, it is safe for the babies to sleep in Napper and some said it is not safer. Let’s see whether it’s safe or not!
According to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), a child is only permitted to place to sleep on smooth, solid surface with no soft bedding. A pack n play Napper doesn’t convene those tests. Regarding this point of view, we can say no; babies are not allowed to sleep in a pack n play napper.
But if any pack n play Napper can meet all those tests as like Graco does then you are authorized to put your baby to sleep on the napper. However, at present Graco provides the best young Napper as they include a flat, stable and soft surface for babies sleep.
Don’t get confused! In a word, if the Napper is flat and stable you are allowed to put your baby to sleep in a Napper if it is not, forget about it!
Moreover, if a Napper can meet those examinations I mentioned above, then it is safe to put your baby on a Napper for sleep. But there is a condition; you are allowed to let your baby sleep in a Napper only if you supervise or let someone monitor your baby.
Without any supervision, it is entirely unsafe for a baby to sleep in pack n play napper. If your child can roll over a little, then stop keeping him sleep in a pack n play napper. A baby can usually roll over after two to four months.
There is no standard safety device is includes with a Newborn Napper or playpen. So it is obvious that you can’t let your baby sleeping there overnight. However, with your full concentration and supervision, a baby can sleep in a Napper but not overnight as you can’t supervise whole night!
Which material is used to make a napper is important?
If the napper made with breathable material and passed all the government and privet third-party taste for risk of suffocation and strangulation, then it is safe to use as well as sleep. But for a long overnight sleep, no napper is allowed.
Another thing you need to consider about a pack n play napper is that the head support pillow is totally needless and includes safety risk. Those head support pillows aren’t made for kid’s sleep. Those are for crash protection not for sleep.
According to AAP a napper and its parts aren’t made for a routine and regular sleep. But you can let your baby sleep there for a little while, but for regular use, we suggest you avoid a napper. Kids less than four months actually at a great risk of suffocation by assuming any weird position.
A newborn baby sleeps all the time. They wake up to eat and go back to sleep again. That’s their routine sleep. They didn’t awake much. So, if you want to consider my opinion I will suggest you use a baby bassinet for their proper and secure sleep.
However Graco Pack n Play Napper passed all the tastes and provided the best of best materials in their napper. They include solid and flat surface, use breathable materials also provide some extra secured features for weight control. I would just suggest you buy a good mattress for the pack n play, for extra comfort of your baby.
If you want to purchase a newborn napper, I would recommend you to purchase Graco Pack n, Play Napper, as it is the best in the market now.
You can also put your baby in a Graco Pack n Play napper but for routine and regular sleep avoid napper and grab the best baby bassinet!
On the other hand, you can use a baby bassinet only for the first three months, after that, it will be useless. But if you buy a Pack N Play, you can use the napper as the child bed for the first 3 months, later you can use it as the play mat for two more years. So, now it’s your call. 🙂 You can also consider a best baby play yard for your infant and a best toddler bed for your elder kid. Thanks for visiting OMG Stroller.
